A good traveller does not have fixed plans and does not intend to arrive. The use of travelling is to regulate imagination by reality and to see them as they are rather than thinking about how things can be. Maybe travel can not eliminate bigotry, but by seeing that all cultures are weeping, laughing, drinking, worrying, and dying, it can promote the concept that if we seek to understand each other, we may even become mates. And all plans, security, police and threats are fruitless.
We note that we don’t take a vacation after years of struggle; a ride brings us along. I still make sure that I travel to a country where things can not be taken for granted at least once a year and where there are either too much law and order or too little. Own just what you can bring with you: know languages, know nations, know people. Let your Travel Bag be your memory.
A man who leaves home to mend himself and others is a philosopher; but whoever goes from country to country, driven by the blind urge of curiosity, is a vagabond. The traveller was active; he went searching hard for men, for adventure, for the experience. The tourist is passive; he expects to come to him with interesting things. He is going ‘seeing for hearing.’
I’ve always found that travel inspires me more than everything else I do in business and in my personal life. In every piece of my jewellery, you can find evidence of the languages, cultures, landscapes, food and design aesthetics that I discover all over the world.
In the first place,
a travelers attention should be focused on the different works of Art, marking the distinctions of the climates that he may visit, and offering as useful observations as possible on the different outputs. I’ve always loved travelling and seeing the various cultures and people.
